Five factions. One humanity.
After the Catastrophe of 2035 the survivors rebuilt around five philosophies. For centuries they traded, quarrelled and kept an uneasy peace through the Supreme Assembly — until the Horizon Ones struck from the edge of the known stars.

-

The Great Dissolution
Divided, the factions lost colony after colony: five armies, five chains of command, five ways to fail. So the Supreme Assembly made its final decision. It dissolved itself, and all five factions with it. That day Singularity was born.
